Product Description
Eaton manufactures several different styles of automated self-cleaning filters and strainers for commercial, municipal, and industrial applications. Eaton’s products include the legacy brands of Hayward Strainers and Ronningen-Petter.
Eaton self-cleaning, automatic strainers and filters are offered in many sizes, materials, and configurations enabling users to select the design that best fits their needs.
These automated filters can be divided into two main sub-categories:
- Tubular Filters
- Mechanically Cleaned Filters
Tubular filters are capable of filtering liquids for flow rates up to 3000 gpm and retention levels as low as 2 microns. The tubular filters modular design offers flexibility in configurations and the ability to change capacity of the filtration system. The technology utilizes tubes of filters with a variety of media and retentions available to handle a variety of applications including white water, shower water, wet end starch, hot condensate, fresh water, chiller water, and many others.
Mechanical filters utilize various designs to automatically clean the filtration media and purge the retained solids utilizing the system pressure. These designs reduce product loss and require minimal monitoring or maintenance. These filters are used in many industries including automotive, food & beverage, iron & steel, irrigation, chemical processing, HVAC, marine, offshore, oil & gas, petroleum, pharmaceutical, power generation, pulp & paper, and water.
